Welcome to "Validation pharmaceutique augmentée"s Wiki.
The Validation pharmaceutique augmentée (Augmented Pharmaceutical Validation) project aims to modernize and strengthen how hospitals analyse and validate medical prescriptions. Using an innovative software platform (PharmIA), the project introduces AI‑supported decision‑making, a rule‑editing module, and a shared inter‑hospital library of expert‑validated rules.
The project has three main goals:
- Implement new validation workflows based on PharmIA, helping hospital pharmacists meet their growing workload while enhancing expertise through inter‑hospital knowledge sharing.
- Develop a set of expert‑driven clinical rules, refined by AI, to reduce medication‑related risks, improve treatment quality, and lower costs.
- Create a shared platform for exchanging and reusing rules, allowing hospitals to pool expertise and benefit from the knowledge of highly specialised pharmacists.
By the end of the project, participating hospitals will have integrated the solution into their systems and deployed it in daily prescription validation, with the ambition of achieving 100% validation of high‑risk prescriptions in selected care units. A shared rule library will remain available for all connected institutions.
The project was coordinated by Sophie Rensonnet (Sophie.Rensonnet@chuliege.be).
