Welcome to PROZA's Wiki.

The PROZA tool was developed to support medical screening for osteoporosis risk factors by using AI to search clinical reports within the electronic health record. Physicians can activate this risk screening for patients who meet the criteria for osteoporosis assessment (e.g., a fracture in individuals aged 50+). The AIgenerated overview of identified risk factors supports clinicians in deciding whether further diagnostic testing and clinical management for osteoporosis is needed. The tool is used for secondary prevention and is always applied within an existing therapeutic relationship between clinician and patient.

The PROZA tool aims to achieve the following goals:

  • Faster and more complete screening for osteoporosis
  • Earlier diagnosis and therefore earlier initiation of treatment
  • Reduced workload for healthcare professionals, who would otherwise need to manually review the hospital record
