Welcome to MOB-PSY's Wiki.
The Datacapabilities MOB‑PSY BXL project aims primarily to transform the Belgian healthcare landscape by developing an integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform based on the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards. Its central objective is to ensure seamless interoperability between various institutions, such as hospitals and mobile psychiatric teams, by enabling secure and standardised sharing of health data. This not only improves continuity of care and the quality of patient management, but also responds to the needs of sector stakeholders—such as primary care and federal institutions—by optimising resource management and providing a comprehensive view of clinical, demographic, and medical situations.
At the core of the project is the standardisation of data collection for specific use cases, such as crisis plans and the CANFOR‑S scale, while strictly limiting data access to healthcare professionals directly involved in the patient’s care. In the longer term, the project aims to expand beyond psychiatry by integrating other existing EHR systems and promoting a national interoperable architecture, such as the Cross‑Over architecture planned for 2026. This evolution seeks to overcome current limitations in data exchange by enabling efficient and secure communication between institutions, while ensuring compliance with privacy standards, patient consent, and eHealth or Abrumet guidelines, ultimately strengthening the overall efficiency of the Belgian healthcare system.
